Our raises are going to be in the 10% range this year as well. They are normally about 2%. And even with that if I wanted to work full time somewhere else I could probably get another 15% beyond that 10% raise without much trouble.
SSKILLZ has a reasonable view here. I’m just not sure he’s correct. Maybe things come back down and we run 3% without much intervention, but with wages rising quickly along with inflation expectations I’m not convinced.
Those lapping arguments aren’t new. They have been conventional wisdom for awhile now, and have been wrong so far. My swag is we peak in Q1. The question is how much do we naturally drop from that peak.
