<<Stepping back and reviewing the patterns, once again the Nasdaq 100 has the feel of a topping pattern, but it could also be a consolidation of the big run-up we had, and we’ll see early next week which way the market resolves itself.

There’s a similar occurrence on the S&P 500, which looks a little bit more bullish but also has not broken out. The numbers we’re going to look for on resistance are, on the Nasdaq 100, first 1425 and then 1432. The S&P 500 had several tops around the 1053 range. What, in your opinion would be the catalysts for the consumer retrenchment? How severe do you think a recession might be?

I think fear of job loss will be primary, excessive debt secondary causes.
