Concur with your thoughts on the timing. Have felt for some time that the best way to proceed with getting the journal buy in, then put out a brief TLD statement that includes an announcement that a peer reviewed report will be in the (state date) issue of the journal. Should be acceptable to the journal, might even increase the circulation of that issue to its benefit.
From a practical standpoint, I think we need to accept the fact that the shorts and naysayers will do their best to raise questions and cast doubts regardless of how rigorous the company is in bringing the TLD data out.
