well I didn't say dem or repub but Conservative or Liberal and look at what they fight for as the Democratic Party had many Southern conservative racists. Conversely the Republican Party had social liberals (Rockefeller Republicans). That changed after the 1964 Civil Rights Act where the racists migrated to the Republican party.
