In the 60s there was a famous pic of German Shepherds and fire hoses being used on black protesters...Bobby Kennedy coming out of a slum home with a devastated look on his face .......Thats when I learned America wasn't Red, White and Blue perfect....
Somehow 3 great leaders were killed in a short period of time too, all of whom took on the status quo....
I saw Walter Cronkite reporting the weekly death count from Vietnam, his famous comments one night how it was all just a mess....Antiwar protests, Kent State, kids that were Anti-establishment (and were right)....How we treated soldiers when they came home from a war they weren't allowed to win...The first Earth Day and an end to exploration...
So I have understanding of history.....
Then the decay began and has continued for 1/2 a century.....
Now we are an ugly petty nation who's leadership has been out of touch and I guess its because people can't afford enough lobbyist to overcome the lobby that picks their pockets and is sucking the life out of the US ;)
What's all that have to do with Biden and today, because there is an even greater threat (as if we can screw up any worse) out there...And as we allowed the last 50 yrs to take place we are about to allow our worst case scenario...
Dems are proving themselves out of touch, not up to the task at hand and unwilling to accept any criticism what so ever...That is going to leave us with bat shit crazy....All the while, all you hear is blame game and finger pointing that has been reduced to name calling and personal attacks...
The old News Room clip still holds true about the 2 parties at the worst possible time...The dems aren't just staying in the faculty lounge patting themselves on the back, now you can hear them fighting from within even though they heard the fire alarm go off..
Just a rant for now, may meet you over at Peg's where we started a good, civil, discussion on our current times after the Virginia vote,,But Turkey Day is tomorrow and I have much to do...
