Zion Oil tells you up front, 50% goes to sub-contractors, 50% goes to office expenses. If you invest knowing that, you can't complain.
There was an accusation made, that the split was actually more like 40% for the subcontractors, 60% for the office. As strange as it seems, that would be a BIG DEAL. That's one of the items cited which may have resulted in a still on-going SEC investigation.
The accounting firm that handled things for Zion Oil was shown the door and replaced.
The other thing is the following contractors: Viking Services International, Forest Garb and Associates, Central European Drillers, Acoustic Geophysical Services, all of which are the main contractors that do business with Zion Oil, have very close ties to Zion Oil itself, they are not independent. For example, prior to taking over as CEO, Rob Dunn was President of Viking International and in charge of Central European Drillers and Acoustic Geophysical Services... not to mention Viking Services people being on Zion Oils board of directors. Are are we getting a fair price for their services? Viking and the afore mentioned companies are privately held, and their books are off limits to the public, so no one knows for sure. I guess we have to trust the SEC investigators on that point.
It must be okay because these sub-contractors are still on the job for Zion Oil.
And if you want to know the truth, the how and the why they get away with this stuff? It's because it's totally unbelievable, none of the pumpers believe what I just told you, even though it's a matter of record. So the money keeps coming in.
