Given that one of the contrasts Stoll had previously discussed was that waiting two weeks to sacrifice the animals showed no anomalies present, I think it's safe to say there is no "long duration" between last dose and the guillotine. But I don't know whether the interim was minutes or hours. I doubt it is days.
Who says this artifact occurs in brain tissue? Seems much more likely that CX717 or a metabolite would get highly concentrated in the liver - or kidney maybe. If indeed the drug (or metabolite) becomes super concentrated in a particular brain tissue, that alone might be cause for concern.
