I pay less attention to anything publised that involves Tanzi. Think Prana, Deepak Chopra association and involment alongside his wife with all sorts of pseudo science.

Could there be a case where over expression of S1R function is as detrimental as "under-expression"? In my understanding of the Anavex side we are treating the damaged or under-expressed side as I've put it.
If this is the case it would explain why there is confusion in these papers.
Anavex clearly has argumentative science that demonstrates that S1R agonism is therapeutic, but not in all cases. Perhaps the other side of the coin is to modulate activity.
