I doubt there will be a Rett gene therapy on the market before 2026 so if the Excellence study looks good and they can send in an NDA by the end of 2022, Anavex would not have to worry about gene therapy competition for a few years.

There are some parallels with Spinraza for SMA and Zolgensa (gene therapy)
