Regulatory challenges are not about “timing”. So the SAP rewrite, which by the way I actively argued against many here, would be extremely complex and would take a longer time than most commentators thought. I said that from the beginning. Not sure the company missed timing on those things. A lot of people confuse the guesstimates that are put out as company statements. And the critics help make that a reality.

The Sawston approval is not “late”. There is no such thing as late with regulators. That was a hoped for goal, and was very cautiously offered and the timing is still entirely reasonable even now. It was not supposed to be before now, but the earliest would be in this time period. When you have to deal with regulators, you always have to assume there is some effort on their part to be actively diligent, ask questions, and go back and forth. It’s not ever unexpected that that is a good possibility.
