I had Alice brownies the first time back in the '70's. I had a friend who lived up in the mountains above Charlottesville, Va and he & his lady invited my wife and I to supper.
He had a big grow up the mountain from his house and he really knew his stuff about growing cannabis. This was back in the day when weed you bought was maybe 1/10 the potency of what you get these days. Well, his was easily as good as today's best herb.
He treated us to brownies after we arrived. I had no idea about edibles and ate a whole brownie. I never made it to the supper table. I awoke the next morning on the floor in front of his TV set.
That's when I learned to pace myself on the edibles!
Read your link to Alice's real recipe. There is a problem with it. Her brownies weren't baked so the THC would never get decarbed. (THC is decarbed when heated liked smoked or otherwise heated). Undecarbed THC may as well be oregano.
But I just bake regular brownies and add kief from the bottom of the grinder (save it over time for brownies), either right in the brownie dough or decarbolized in hot butter as newmedman helpfully wrote.
