LOGISTICS MANAGER

General Summary

The Logistics Manager will support the Supply Chain group in managing network of external manufacturers, maintaining schedules and overseeing transportation of API, bulk product, and finished goods internationally. Manager will manage relationships with freight forwarders, evaluate vendor performance, and lead qualification of new vendors as needed. Manager must be comfortable interacting with various internal departments and be able to perform Oracle transactions, generate ad-hoc reports and transfer them into MS Excel. Manager will work closely with Planning/Forecasting to minimize impact to production schedules.



Key Duties and Responsibilities

Arrange transportation and maintain shipment schedules based on status of open orders to ensure on time delivery and quick resolution of any potential issues
Prepare and distribute shipping documentation in accordance with local requirements and oversee global customs clearance
Maintain internal and external logistics policies and procedures
Publish routine KPIs to monitor freight forwarder performance
Evaluate new vendors, shipping lanes, and modes of transportation in order to remain cost effective and in compliance within current and new market requirements
Maintain sufficient inventory of calibrated data loggers at CMOs and support review of temperature data for each shipment
Generate various reports within Oracle and perform maintenance ERP transactions
Maintain logistics files and retrieve external reports to supplement them
Review all transport related invoices
Evaluate and process claims relating to damage occurring in transit
Support Quality organization in Shipping Qualification and Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Actions for any shipping related deviations/investigations
Provide support for all Supply Chain functions including planning and forecasting and other duties as assigned.
