Tower: Crumudgeons, antisemites, racist, etc.

I think I''ll start my next post with, Existentialist, Antediluvian, Physco, Narcisisst, Monomanical, Egoistic, Freaks. Just in the spirit of making the thread as hard as possible to maintain.

>>"This experiment is like totally f***ed up. Guess I'll slide over to Tau Ceta and see what's developing over there." Then he packed his stash, jumped on his board and road a comet out of town."<<

You are to kind, as a comet would be destined to return, I fear He would seek more of a one way mode of transportation.

Re: crumedgeons, antisemites, racist, etc.

No matter the concessions any of them come up with the term fanatic will arise. Some people will just not accept peace. You know,
the whiney person at the next table, "my soup is too hot, the rolls are not hot enough, the steak requires me to cut it with a butter
knife." No matter what the leaders TRY to do somebody is going to bitch and voila a bus load of innocent people are going to have
a bomb go off in their underwear.

I agree with this as things stand now (although, as I mentioned in my last post, I do not agree that fanatics are the problem. I believe 'fanatics' are people fallen prey to propaganda.) Of course, Americans can sit and say 'yeah, just look at Ireland, and the Middle East, and Indonesia, and Bosnia...' but our government picks adversaries and indoctrinates us against them as well. Just look at the catch-phrase 'fighting communism to keep the world safe for democracy.' Communism doesn't really threaten democracy - not by definition. It threatens profits. So American youth are trained to want to destroy all communism, and all communists. It isn't *people* it's the power structures that take advantage of the people's trust. I believe what will end these situations is a tremendous cultural/social mindset shift, not a political one. The very purpose and nature of political motivations has to change. (Which would result in most of the top offices in the US government not being occupied by corporate interests...)
