Not at all. I hold a low opinion of including 60+ doctors in a publication. I would posit the opposite query. "Hey Dr. Liau, before we can publish you and your expert colleagues paper, we need to give 50 doctors you've never heard of an opportunity to suggest changes."

Number of authors of a publication are irrelevant to success.

The DCVax P3 trial has over 80 locations. 60+ in the US. Each with a lead (who wants to be published). I'll bet that for every US location that actually had a patient enrolled, the lead got an "author" credit in that now 3 year old publication.
