Bob,

I tried the Advanced Search several times, with these parameters:

1: Posts by Zeev Hed
2: Posts on Zeev's Turnips Patch-No Politics
3: 07/01/2002
4: 10/29/2003
5: Find posts with ALL words I entered
6: Enter your search words:
First search: (kimono box)
Second search: (kimono)
Third search: (boxes)
7: Oldest Messages First

The first attempt yielded "No messages found" (which could be valid). After
that, the most common result was a blank page ... but I did get one more
"No messages" report.

"SEARCH THIS MEMBER'S POSTS" from the profile page yielded 5 hits on "kimono"
(none on "kimono box").

3. Bob's Wise Wide Hairy Ears are both Closed
to hear suggestions, changes or additions
4. But OPEN for Bugs...

But,
Everything Derf cannot do is is... a bug, yes?
ok,
Now,
While some may think BobZ used their profile as the alpha
to test out the new Advanced Plus Search feature,
it seems to me to only reflect a needed limit to prevent overload
by only allowing the people and boards available to be searched
to be limited to a member's Favorite Boards & Folks.
so,
While i did notice the selection items:
- All People
- All Boards
If using them ALLs results in an iHub's slowness to occure,
then i suggest these options be removed without complaint
since any member can on-the-fly add and then delete
any person or board on their Favorites Page they wish
to be included or focused on. For sure a method to do
a big wide search using the tried & tested & true search
that was present before today could give clues on boards
and people not on one's Favorites Page, and then flip into
the new search after placing these onto the Favorites Page
for a temporary usage. Quick Note: hopefully the current
old search engine remains "as is" and not replaced with
this newer and fuller search, as Derf & Susie will get lost :o)
But,
Yes Virginia,
There is a BUG in the alpha dishabillied as a suggestion :o)
It does have an easy bob'n work-around.
Lets see, I'll wait until Bob finishes the code'n
and then tell Bob what it is.

Bob, While your newly coded advanced search
is not ready for prime time testing by iHub's Monkeys,
but might it be ok for testing by iHub's Turnips?

#msg-1685361 Hope so (or) Oopsie :o)
