#65016 RE: blademan #65015

Very sad Blade. I did like how the Gov went for the jugular of the old boys club however.
I have a personal belief that corruption is a big problem and "sinew" of many.
[the parts of a structure, system, or thing that give it strength or bind it together.
"the sinews of government"
]
I don't understand in this information age why these things aren't dealt with properly and quickly.

Butt, though I may think the law is an ass
If it doesn't treat looking at ur phone while driving
The same way drinking and driving "murders" are in SD
U still need fair due process.

I hit a deer at 60 mph once and watched it die a slow death in the ditch
It was the only big animal I ever hit
It was gruesome and sad as it tried to sit up several times
As one of her front legs was broken in half
Hanging on by a thin sinew or skin dangling

I thought I hit a mailbox

It was terrain much like SD
Flat open farmland where I hit her
My eyes may not have even left the road
(u know, from changing a tune, reachin' for coffee or cig, etc,..)
Deer's head hit my front tire of a panel van
Body swung into sliding door for huge dent

And at speed

Never saw it, never could have seen it
I had to back up this country two lane highway
Quite some distance cuz all I really experienced was a loud noise
[I used to blast the blaster pretty good drivin' courier ;]

.. At 10:20, according to cell phone data obtained by the investigators, he unlocked his phone and signed into his Yahoo email account. From there, Ravnsborg scanned headlines before landing on an article published by a right-wing website about “Riding the Dragon,” a documentary billed as an exposé into the “secret world of Joe Biden and his family’s relationship to China and the sinister business deals that enriched them at America’s expense.” At 10:22, prosecutors determined he locked his phone. A minute later, Ravnsborg veered into the right shoulder, where Boever was walking, sending his head through the windshield.

.. a state where one party dominates and high-ranking officials seem to operate with impunity. South Dakota routinely ranks among the most corrupt state governments in the country, a distinction earned by a pervasive culture of secrecy. “The main reason Nick and I stepped forward is the state of South Dakota has a huge tendency to let people in positions of authority and power get away with a lot of things,” Victor said.

..  “I was in a meeting with a group of investigators and I said, ‘How many of you hit a deer?’ Every single one in that room,” one of the investigators said. “I said, ‘How many of you did not know you hit a deer?’ Every single one of them knew they hit a deer.”

I may not be the best reference as I can be pretty thick sometimes ;)
