I hear you. I grew us with anti-communism, (which I agree with), but I was first generation American born of Russian immigrants. My heritage includes White Russians, black Russians, Mogul, Indian, Turkish and Iranian, as well as in-laws of Cuban and Jamaican heritage, Jews, Orthodox, Christians and Atheists. I see no differences due to race or religion, I was raised to respect the differences; I will admit, I do see differences based on an individuals behavior and personality across the board. Family reunions are fun!.
I learned at a young ages that character is critical, skin color - not so much. I think that has been lost by many.
