I just finished watching Stillwater for the seventh time (at least the seventh). While not perfect and slightly overacted and caricaturized in some spots, I view this as Matt Damon's best acting performance to date. I hope he wins an Oscar for it.
The costumer certainly should win one (as I have written before). I have this exact same canvas shirt - same color, same pockets, same buttons, just in long-sleeve instead of short sleeve. Bought it from Gander Mountain in the '80s along with another one just like it in deep maroon. Quality shit. Generic Gander Mountain tags (Gander was bought by Cabela's which was itself later bought~OUTT by Bass Pro Shops). Still have them both and both are still in fine shape and decent color saturation despite innumerable warshings.
Matt got very deep into the mind of Oklaho Man for the part. That is some acting - when you don't see Matt Damon, just the character he creates, and it is almost spot-on. Much better acting than in Rounders or any of the Jason Bourne flicks. Good acting!
I have that same shirt but with long sleeves - since the '80s - classics never change
