Sudden Accelerations In Teslas Were “Pedal Misapplication”

Chinese media as been reporting on a series of car accidents involving Tesla vehicles purported to be cases of sudden unintended acceleration. How ever investigations by local authorities concluded all to be cases of pedal mis application.

(SUA) events in Tesla vehicles were due to the users making mistake behind the wheel, not Tesla making a faulty product, according to a fresh report from the chinese government’s oversight agency for this matter.

In the United States the NHTSA said:

“In every instance in which Tesla event data was available for review by ODI, the evidence shows that SUA crashes in the complaints cited by the petitioner have been caused by pedal misapplication.”

That video is not to be trusted. Something squirrelly was going on in that clip.

It’s as if the drivers attention was diverted, and knowingly he started to apply the brake… except it was not the brake.

Driver did not even look up in time to correct the car direction.

Tesla’s do not take steering control from the driver proving his attention was elsewhere.

It’s most likely the driver taught himself a lesson.

No chance that was a failure of the car.
