No. That link also mixed up "asymptote" with maxima and minima. And "one of my degrees is mathematics"? It never ends.

I have a Google degree in any number of driplines plus a real one in learning how to learn, electrical engineering and computer science - hopefully that adds plenty of credibility to all my statements?

And no, an asymptote is not the same as plateau. Anyone with a degree in mathematics should be able to tell us why.
