Well, the top line is Thompson Reuters Corporation, and the bottom line is PTOI.

I'd say the backlash is quite discernible to the trained eye:

That was a good article...shows more needs to be done.

At least four high-profile projects have been dropped or indefinitely delayed over the last two years because they weren’t commercially viable.

Reuters doesn’t always play fair. They might have completely forgotten that we are in the middle of a pandemic...

But that said ...commercial viability....
the ability of a business, product, or service to compete effectively and to make a profit:

With our world being strangled by plastic, there should be programs in place to get rid of this mess and help these companies succeed. In fact it should be mandated that plastic manufacturers be responsible for this environmental disaster just like every company that has wrecked our earth or human lives.

"do you know if Reuters has suffered that backlash yet?"

Reuters may be as crooked as Ron Jeremy with Peyronie's but they ain't stupid. My understanding is they intend to file Chap 11 at the first whiff of a Plastics-to-whatever trade group legal action...or any other form of backlash. Their CEO was overheard saying "Sticks and stones may...." etc.
