And extrapolating that example into dollars this ICE vehicle using gasoline at $3.50 per gallon and achieving 22.2 mpg, costs 14.6 cents per mile for fuel. The Tesla charges at 14 cents per kWh / 3.91 miles per kWh = 3.6 cents per mile or ~4X less expensive. Of course the Tesla is still using roads for free on the back of ICE vehicles. I can't imagine that will last too much longer.
