Oh it sounds better than libel, slander is easier to understand.
Slander is spoken defamation; libel is written defamation. If you're unable to understand a legal concept as simple as that, I think you should reconsider holding forth about important medical issues.
I'm glad to slander and libel Fauci any day of the year, doubt if he'd ever sue me because he cannot, repeat cannot, since based many of his recommendations not on science.
Wow. If you really believe that, you'd be in for a real jolt at trial. The right answer would be that Fauci would be considered a "public figure", and so would lack some of the protections of ordinary citizens. The same, however, holds true for the Frontline Doctors, who've sought publicity for themselves with their TV appearances, press releases, and ridiculous lawsuits.
As for truth, you have no clue what it is. It's not the same as conspiracy theories that are uninformed by any science at all.
