If Gary was competent in his position he would know that things "take longer" and not throw out a number like $10M
Under promise and over deliver is a much better business practice than front loading a bunch of "maybe" revenue.
I keep going back to the fact that he's unwilling to re state numbers when he has to know the ones he gave are not doable.
That's an easy problem to fix and one that shows credibility and responsibility. It only shows two things. 1. He's simply that ignorant to the business he is running. 2. He's got a ego that won't allow him to take back what he projected, Unfortunately, both traits are not what one wants in a CEO
Anybody can throw out a number and just say Oh well we missed it.
