yep...its a small math dilemma.
sometimes, you can make the decision ok by just doing a little math.
IF the price hits 30 dollars, for ex., and I sell a few hundred shares,
with that cash I can then buy the shares back, lets say if it falls back to 25 dollars(?) .it doesnt sound like much, but the 1 thousand profit I made, makes those shares I buy at 25 become like buying them at 20. which seems nicer.
I do the same thinking when I buy a deli sandwich and see if paying 70 cents for the slice of cheese is worth it. <;)
