I appreciate your points--good post.
I noticed gasoline prices have come down 10-15 cents a gallon lately.
And unfortunately, one of my favorite stocks, the refiner VLO, is off today and shares will be put to me at $79 a share. But not to worry, to use an expression I don't like. The proletariat are being forced back into the workplace and vacation season is in swing.

And as far as California is concerned, tough. Let them use solar. They have millions of illegals living there who use energy. Give California to Mexico. I doubt that they would want it.

XOM will be put to me today at $62. The dividend makes owning XOM like have a CD that yields 5.5 percent. Makes me nostalgic.

Regards my friend. I manage two plantations and will be pulling weeds all afternoon. The weeds I miss can celebrate the holiday tomorrow.
