Oil , price has just recently caught up with the higher gas prices that were pushed up much faster than oil price was moving from February thru about April... Gas price spike came just in time for spring break... But they didn't let the gas price drop after Mother's Day or in most recent oil price retreat... Big oils seem to control gas prices more than oil prices... Refiners need to keep their pedal on the refinery operations in case of any potential climate related summer problems... A flat gasoline inventory now to the 5 year average is not a great comfort zone... Another bad tropical season like 2020 would leave some areas scrambling to find gas with the lower 2021 gasoline inventories... And Cal could end up calling for more train load delivery relief under worse case scenarios... It's not all about price but it is all connected... so we watch...LJ
