News during non trading hours often results in a trading gap in the price chart. Up gaps are almost always later filled. If the news is released during trading hours and there is no trading suspension, then there is no gap in the charts!

LQMT always schedules ASHM MID DAY EST, which is 9 am PST.

No rocket science here. The world has many different time zones. Get used to it.
