The problem is the lawsuit is Chanbond as the Plaintiff and shareholders don't have a pathway to payment since UOIP doesn't own Chanbond they missed the $5 million payment - as they didn't have any capital.
So Chanbond will receive any settlement/Judgement and they will have to pay the Attorneys, the funder of the defense, etc - as always in the hierarchy of those paid the common equity holders are last in line to be paid and now they aren't part of Chanbond they aren't owed anything.
Now you are left with hoping Carter throws you a bone.
