I'm enjoying the board vibe even though it's off topic. Must have something to do with all the Hawaii mentions. It's a great State.
To keep this post on track I'll share how I got to NWBO by thanking Dr. Segal and Dr. Samadi on Fox News.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013.
In researching surgeons who were doing robotic surgeries Samadis name came up multiple times. Watched the show on Fox on Sunday mornings and one time they talked about NWBO. It seemed like a miracle and I wanted to be part of it. Then I found the yahoo message board :)
I have a ton of respect for the 'super longs' on this board. My mind has been blown more than a few times with all the dd found here. And, I've felt connected to many here as I lurk/read daily.
My PC seems to be the version that won't quit.
Surgery, chemo, adt, provenge, radiation. And along the way some pretty cool Psma scans that saved my life. The adt has stooped working so now I'm looking at second line adts.
I just want to keep knocking it down until they figure out the right next sequence. It can be frustrating at times.
It's probably too late to hope Direct will work for me but I hope it will be available sooner than later for others.
True Story and Postes thanks for reminding me of it.
I'm an East coast guy who landed on Maui in the early 90s. From east coast originally and Lahaina in those days was pretty fun. Not 70s fun but still fun. And this was before I met my good friend Bill who I've known for over 30 years.
Anyway, there was an Amazing Hawaiian musician named Willie K (who recently passed from lung cancer) who payed a restaurant called Kobes on Friday nights.
O e Saturday morning I woke up on the Lappert's ice cream girl's floor. We dated for about a year. She was a vision and we had a lot of fun till we didn't.
Fyi, the dormant volcano on Maui is spelled Haleakala.
I'm in Honolulu. You all have a friend here and I'm more than happy to give my perspective on anything you might be curious about in HNL and the 808.
Poor Man and you other noodle lovers...The noodle joints here are fantastic. If asked, I will bring you to places that will make you cry with happiness as you slurp your way to heaven. I went vegan a few years ago so I usually make my own but there are places!.....
Chow Phun for now.
