I love Hawaii! Did not mean to suggest only HI will have many tourists. I’d book early though. While there may still be deals and also to book what you need while it is still available.

If you go to HI make sure you reserve your rental car prior to leaving. The rental car companies are trying to make up for their losses in 2020. I’ve read stories of giving up and renting a rental truck.
