Price Painting...net U.S. oil imports plunged

versus year ago week in

latest report...

7,200,000 bbls/day in 2020...

minus last week's import #s...

6,273,000 bbls/day in 2020...

of oil imports...

about -927,000 bbls/day of imports...

927,000 x 7 = 6,489,000, more or

less, of oil imports for last

week versus same week in 2020...

And 2020 saw U.S. demand way off...

crude oil inventory was reported

down 3,300,000 bbls for the week...

Oil imports dropped almost double

that inventory amount drop...

Squeeze between Brent closer to

U.S. crude price reflects lower

U.S. and world oil imports...

Brent has a new export competitor

so they don't have much room

to support a price above what is

needed in a current world market...

But Gasoline price is higher for

Memorial Day weekend...

It doesn't matter if oil prices

drop before the weekend...

So we watch...LJ

LPI has been pumped up by StockTwit crew

activity on it...

And is exception to the pricing

of smaller oil companies staying

conservative on share price now...

Smarter, small investors are waiting

for more confirmation of demand

going forward...

And they know oil pricing is very

dependent on foreign influence...

So we watch...LJ

Lumber prices are 100% higher in one year

or more on some things...

That is versus mid May,

2020 pricing when I last

did a project...

And May, 2020 lumber prices

were higher than most folks

have ever paid...

2021 versus 2020 prices...

4 x 4 x 8 treated price double...

2 x 6 x 10 over 2 time price...

5/4 x 6 x 10 treated deck boards

are 30% to 40% higher if you

could find them in May, 2020...

I don't even want to price a good

gauge of 12 ft metal roof sheets

now...or the screws...

4 x 8 treated plywood sheets are

way over 2 times more in price now

than early 2020...

I still have memories of being

sore and receipts from projects...

Lumber prices have priced the

remodeling industry into a looming

depression status...

New Home Buyers are facing coming

times of being Upside Down soon

after purchases like new car buyers...

As soon as lumber prices correct...

Not an If, just WHEN...

And buying a new home isn't normally

marketed to people to expect to

lose Equity in future...

FED has created potential Depression

set up for many sectors dependent on

the soaring commodity prices...

Recession in those sectors is

assured to be setting in now...

So we watch...LJ
