That's a fun story, must of been an interesting conversation. The language barrier makes for some fun times. There's been many comedy clips made of two people walking away with entirely different interpretations of broken conversations like this.
But to the point, I agree with your conclusion that this is probably not the same Mei Wu. Wu is such a common name. I did find MeiPing Wu's LinkedIn recently I will have to see if I can find it again. It's not using her full name but I am sure it was her.
