daytrader. just to show how absurd the belief systems of some of these non-believers are, ask them if they believe in virgin births and resurrection after being dead for 3 days, and then ask they if the believe in the biblical version of creation (adam and eve), then ask them if they believe and support acts of incest because thats the only way adam and eve could have populated the world...if adam and eve's first children were cain and abel, who do you think their boys had sex with to get the population of earth going... their mother, eve, or the daughters?

So your belief is that we should act and spend trillions of dollars and alter our lifestyles drastically on something for which there is no hard evidence whatsoever?

(keep in mind we're talking MAN-MADE global warming, not global warming in general)

But what if the reality is Global Cooling, we're just going through a temporary warming period, and all those trillions of dollars and resources and time and altered lifestyle spent to cool the Earth actually harms us as the Earth gets too cold?

I'd say we should adjust to it getting warm and prepare for the consequences if it happens instead of trying to stop it which is virtually hopeless and a waste of resources anyway that could be better spent aiding mankind in other, far more productive ways.

By the way....you watch Al Bore's movie? It's a great source of entertainment with his hurricane charts showing an increase in activity year after year after year and forecasting 2006 will be the worst. LOL....I've pissed worse storms.

daytraderkid... global warming is a fact.
The question is; what is the cause? The Earth is over 4 BILLION years old! We are coming off a mini ice age which started 600 years ago. Man has nothing to do with global warming except in the liberal press!

Nothin' we can do about it anyway.. Enjoy the long Summers I say. Winter in Minnesota is tough enough with GW than without it.

To me ... if, we had the tech stuff available before the Ice Age .. we could have seen it coming . .however, we didn't .. and now we do .. so ..........to me it sure is worth taking a objective look at ..

We have progressed quite a bit pre Ice Age .
