Probably - which is why I didn't make any such comparison. Simply said scams can go on for quite some time, and in Madoff's case it went twenty years.

Simple refutation of an incorrect statement which posited that scams don't go on for years; wasn't meant to be a reflection of BIEL, per se, in any manner.
