Anavex 3-71 may be the big pancellular agent.

...it has already been reported from earlier studies that cardiovascular and eyesight health have both experienced improvements with 2-73.

Thank you for mentioning this. Yes, there is evidence that blarcamesine (Anavex 2-73) yields symptomatic improvements in both heart disease and ocular health. I'm not familiar with the specifics, yet, but neither of those directly involve restoration of sigma-1 receptor functions in nerve cells.

One factor I didn't mention, which may be both relevant and important. Another Anavex sigma-1 receptor agonist (activator) is Anavex 3-71. But, importantly, it activates the sigma-1 receptor protein at concentrations at orders of magnitude less than blarcamesine requires. Most likely, it will be administered in micrograms (mcgs), millionths of a gram, as opposed to blarcamesine, which is dosed in milligrams (mgs), thousandths of a gram.

Consequently, Anavex 3-71 will be better able to a) either gain entry into cells, to be than active at very low concentrations, and/or b) more powerfully activate the sigma-1 receptor protein's activities. Either or both ways, the molecule works in minute concentrations. Therefore, it might well be able to thusly enter other, non-CNS cells and fix pathologies there. The pancellular response, for a host of diseases and conditions caused or supported by anomalous sigma-1 receptor activation, in diverse tissues and organs, not just those in the CNS.
