Your point? Are you suggesting government should not fuel innovation or that industry should not take a helping hand? Or do you want the taxpayer to get a slice of the pie for there <1% funding investment? I can go for a proportionate kick-back...oh yea taxes, jobs, taxes, jobs, taxes. None-the-less you want your fraction, we can give it to you but I want it for oil, defense, green technology, space, IT, and anywhere else America remains competitive. These proportions will strangle everyone else, but hay we are not in a capitalist society as you say.

How often do you see pharmaceutical innovations outside the US/Swiss/Nordics//Germany/France/UK? I believe that is a near complete list of where we make money...oops forgot the Cannucks. What is that saying about biting off your nose?
