I am no expert here, but don’t BO offers usually have language to protect shareholders that could change the offer price to the positive should certain events lift the stock price significantly higher than the original terms?
This could me a motivation to carefully sequence events. Which again argues that you follow the tried and true Pharma practice of present, present, then publish...which is occasionally shortened to present, publish, present but almost never publish, present.
For GBM this would go like this.
Submit for ASCO late breaker
Submit for publication in early 2021
ASCO = present all primary and secondary data with overall safety data set.
SNO = present expanded data set including relevant subpopulations like Meth/IDH status and any details on AE signals of interest which I don’t suspect we have one, but hold back some data for future meetings like complete vs partial resection.
Publish in major journal shortly after SNO which was likely held for SNO
