Maybe some. But it was impossible to short a large amount of shares last Tuesday near the top. Now the day before that spike...there were probably some available. And those shorts probably got squeezed on Tuesday. Which made it even harder to find short shares. Hate to burst the bubble on the conspiracy theory, but any trader who has a lot of experience shorting will tell you the same thing.
