I think there are still issues of collaboration and team building to work out. I do not think businesses should just pocket the savings, or they will lose something valuable from the loss of people working together and knowing one another well.
But I think it will create a better quality of life, overall. But there needs to be a real strategy for maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment where people know and appreciate each other and can collaborate easily. It’s a very different way of working. Some people may also prefer an office, even if it is not required, and that should be possible.
