This is the point I was originally trying to make yesterday. This employment transaction doesn't take place unless both the company and the candidate are in a good place psychologically WRT the prospects of the company.
She also has some experience on her CV related to working with CA governmental entities, so the idea that she could fill the role of local representative is furthered in my mind.
