My dad was born in 1911 and when the Spanish Flu hit in 1918, (not 1917 as Trump would like you to believe) his mother kept her 6 kids in the house for a year. God bless her they all survived.

When I was young my dad would make a big pot of rice for dinner. Way more than we could eat. Breakfast the next morning would be cold rice with milk and sugar. He'd say enjoy I ate a lot of that growing up in 1918. ;-)

Stories like that keep you going. A pandemic two world wars with a depression in between.

The 3 of us have now all been vaccinated. Time to start living again.
