I agree with that statement. Until other technologies become economically sound to use for lead acid applications they will continue to use lead acid.
I also think that as soon as they can get rid of the lead the gov't will make the use of lead for batteries a thing of the past. Just like paint, and just like gasoline.
It's not that far away, and the world ( other than 3rd world , "who cares" countries like china) is saying that there is no interest in a battery that uses less lead because that technology's day is done.
That's why the US gov't isn't pouring any dough into new lead acid research. They are however giving lots of money to alternate battery technology research.
No one's looking for a lower lead battery at this time. 4-7 years ago, maybe, but not now.
If they came up with a marketable product tomorrow, they's probably find a niche. A small one. By the time they really become a marketable entity.. that niche may be long gone.
Today's trading was a pump.. no more no less. Probably into some PR in the very near future. The size of the trades (5000 - 10000) indicates a mass emailing type thing to me.
I think this baby'll be available at .03-.04 soon enough. History usually repeats itself.. and in the case of this company, again and again.
