There are a lot of jets still parked in the southwestern desert.
Boeing has a big backlog of 737 MAX already built and as they deliver them it will certainly help cashflow. But what's tougher to nail down is how that actually affects earnings. Boeing has had to maintain those aircraft and continues to have to until final delivery. By the time you factor in that cost, did those units deliver a profit on the bottom line? Probably not. More likely a loss per unit.
