First off, Flaskworks only received one million or so cash with the rest in some sort of risk. Second, I think LL was speaking more to a Rivers sized company running the show rather than whatever Flaskworks can bring to the table.

"I have my doubts about how a technology acquired for only $4.5 million can have any sort of near term benefit, but the description of Flaskworks' technology is exactly what Dr. Liau is saying is necessary for scaling DCVAX-L. I hope Flaskworks' IP protection is rock solid; it could end up being the special sauce for DCVAX-L. "

Gus McCrae,

Dr. Linda Liau is lamenting the pioneering aspect of the technology she developed. The company she is obviously pointing to as a disrupter is the one that asked a professor to develop a better manufacturing process which eventually became known as Flaskworks which NWBO bought with cash and stock. I’d say her vision of a company that changes the way manufacturing is done and the way trials to approval being done are being handily pioneered by NWBO, the only company willing to move her original research forward and the only company fitting the bill as a game changer with CRL as a partner for manufacturing. She wants this available to patients ASAP and laments the patent process, FDA and manufacturing issues that have held this process up substantially. She never spoke to the issue of financing which NWBO and other small bios almost always struggle with unles they give away the farm. Best wishes.
