I'm scheduled to get the vaccine tomorrow afternoon. Didn't ask which one.

I know that there is some truth in what you're saying, however, the evidence seems to say that we may need annual boosters of the Covid vaccine. While 2 shots shouldn't be required, it will still be a substantial effort. I would hope that with more planning that it won't be necessary to go beyond getting the shots in the same way that we'd get flu shots.

I note that Pfizer now believes that freezer temperature is now sufficient for limited stowing, a week or so which could make drug store distribution far more possible. The big thing would be supply, if you have a substantial supply, you can give it at the time people come to the store, or to the Drs. office.

I believe the Moderna and J&J vaccines have longer shelf lives in refrigerator or normal freezer temperatures. I can't say if we'll need the boosters by next Fall, or a year or more from now, but experts seem to believe they'll be necessary and they may have to be tweaked to better deal with variants. I just hope that we don't have to go through what we're doing now to get them.

As I write I'm watching Biden memorialize the over 500K who've died, so many of them seem so unnecessary to me. Clearly losses couldn't be avoided, but we could have avoided loosing so many.

The fight against Covid needs to be worldwide, for that to happen we must again be the world's leader.
