I used to live in OKC and my daughter still does. They haven't been above freezing for a week. Monday to be -12 for a low and 4 for a high. Ouch. Chance of snow every day. Don't miss that place. It's 68 here in Phx.
A trick I used to do in NE OK. When I would leave my cabin I always turned off the water and let the pressure out of the lines. Even at -17 nothing ever froze. No clue why.
yay, we are above freezing now. 8days 10hrs below it. Got down to 1F at one point. Power shouldnt be an issue now. But hoping my outside faucets didnt freeze. the low sat am is forecast 21F so leaving them wrapped one more day. wrapping has always worked in the past. My main concern is getting the septic system and the treated water pumped out thru the sprinklers. The pipes should be OK since they are buried. The heads Im worried about but shouldnt cost much to replace if they bust. Ive spent the last 8 days trying not to put much water down the drain. The drips went into buckets(been dripping inside faucets), been taking sponge baths.
Im cash and hope to get back at the "trading desk" next week.
