Congratulations on your retirement! I’ve always loved RTs, as the impact of CPAP and BiPAP (not to diminish the other aspects of the profession) is so immediate and profound. The first ten years as a paramedic we didn’t have cpap. I intubated far too many patients for lack of better choices.

Digression aside, I assume but don’t know, that the inflammatory pathways in thermal inhalation will be the same as ADDS from Covid and influenza.

I’m sure studies will help deliver a better understanding of pathways and treatment modalities.

Mohave, wouldn't it be great if eventually every paramedic carried a vial of Vyrologix with them to administer on-scene where a severe inflammatory response, due to any number of causes, could be administered before the patient was even transported to the hospital? :)
