As a recently retired Respiratory Therapist this post makes me wonder if Leronlimab could be used for other indications such as Inhalation Injury. An example of this kind of injury would be from breathing toxic fumes, smoke, etc., in a house fire. Leading causes of death for inhalation injuries are due to respiratory failure and ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome). It seems possible, that these types of injuries could lead to an inflammatory response level that the body is unable to cope with leading to ARDS. It may not be at the same level of the Cytokine Storm seen in Covid, but further investigation would be a good thing.
