Because Clone 3, as awesome as it is, would have required Bioclonetics to pay upteen million to go through FDA trials. It's still a preclinical drug. ITV-1, from Enzolytics, is already pushed through all the phases in the EU. Charles can't get anywhere without ENZC and he can piggyback off the already more developed drug. And that says nothing about how the drugs will work in tandem...which is what, I believe, is getting fast tracked through TAMU.
This is opinion only...circumstantial at best...but it's why we all believe in it.
